The rules of competitions of FIBA (International Federation of Basket-ball) have the followings requirements to the basket-ball ring: Material is durable steel, internal diameter 45 cm and painted in an orange color.
Metallic stick of ring must have a minimal diameter 16 mm, and maximal 20 mm. On lower part of ring must be adaptation for fastening of nets, such, to prevent the damage of fingers.
The nearest point of inside of ring must be disposed in the distance 15cm from the facial surface of shield.
Basket-ball shields have the followings requirements: shields must be made of the proper very thin material (preferably - hard-tempered unbreakable glass), being a monolithic piece. If they are made of other opaque material, they must be painted in a white color. Sizes of shields must be: 1,80 m horizontal and 1.05 m vertical.
